Our university's dormitory introduced the weekend meal ticket system last winter. The dormitory converted to the weekend meal system to a self-control version. This new system allows students to have their meal whenever they like, during normal business hours starting December 20th, 2010. Under the former meal system, students cam select a meal for 2,300 won.
The dormitory has been in negotiations with the Cheong Nam Edubill Co,. Ltd (BTL performer) and th Shinsegae Food Co., Ltd (BTL performer) and the sinsegae Food Co., Ltd (A restaurant operation enterprise) regarding the weekend meal since last March.
There have been many complaints because there were now many patrons during weekend. Including weekend dinner, it is estimated that students' food expenses during vacation periods, will be cut about 500 billion won. The dormitory will perform the meal ticket system during the normal term.
