Want You Back in My Life Again

Have you ever been infatuated with someone? Have you ever had a deep longing for someone special? Then you are qualified as one who can appreciate the song, “Want You Back in My Life Again” sung by Carpenters.
The song is on their ninth album, released June 16, 1981. The song became super famous not just because of its awesome melody, but also because of its lyrical depth. The lyrics are essentially about a woman speaking to a lover whom she wants in her life again.
Listening to the song, we can easily grasp her feelings for him. Immediately after breaking up, she seemed to be okay without her lover, but as time passed, she started to feel pain. She realized it would be hard without him. “Want (not anybody but) You Back in My Life Again.” She continually repeats her earnest requests for his return. This constant repetition creates a mood so strong that the audience is left longing for more.
We suffer from love, sometimes burn with love, and reach maturity at last. So it makes me think this song is as beautiful as any other songs expressing happiness and love.
