Autumn bought about lots of special lectures that thrilled our hearts. Recently Choi Jae-cheon and Park kyoung-chul visited CNU campus to give lectures. A seris of lectures aim ti offer opportunities for students to consider what they should learn at the university and to contemplate their future life so that they can take initiative and learn on their own with a clear sense of purpose. There lectures also aim to forster individuals who will be leaders of the next generation.
Some students couldn't attend these lectures because they had classes at the same time. For those who missed these great lecturers, I summarized two of them.

The Lecture by Seo Kyoung-duk
(Seo Kyoung-duck is a self-proclaimed korea promoter who organized the ad campaigns of Dokdo, Bibimbap and Hangeul)
Fifteen years ago, when Seo was a university student he traveled around the world. While he was traveling abroad, he was shucked to find out that there was no Korean language service available in well-known museums and Korea is not as well known to foreigners as China and Japan.
This realization motivated this very ordinary college student to promote Korea around the world. He developed various activities to promote Korea, such as distributing Korean-language pamphlets and sending Hangeul installation art pieces to museums and universities around the world. His advertisements nor only inspired the Korean public, but also the world's major presses such as The New York Times and Thc Associated Press.
He wanted CNU students to remember that we need to respect other customs and if we happen to find some errors in historical records related to our history, we have to ask for some correction logically and politely.

The Lecture by Park Kyoung-chul

(Park Kyoung-chul is an economic commentator and known as a "country doctor.")
He said he wanted students to change the way of preparing fur the futture. Instead of being obsessed about test scores, students need to make a difference in the way they live.
"Think about a day ten years from now! high TOEFL score is not everything. It does not guarantee a promising future. The new millennium requires you to be different from others" he emphasized.
He said that a desperately poor period has gone. Currently people have a surplus of products. From now on, people will select a special thing from amongst the surplus. That's why we should be different. The same logic can be to the human resource market.
