It's morning time! And as you open your eyes, you will read news and check the weather with your Smart-phon. After being reminded of today's tasks through your phone's agenda application, you will use the phone to check the bus schedule. On your way to school, you will spend your time reading new updates on SNS; and chat with friends through the messaging application. Using Smart-phon have become very common. When the iPhone from the Apple was first imported in 2010, it was not tate to see someone concentrating on a small screen. Now the number of Smart-phon users had surpassed fifteen million; roughly a quarter of the whole population of Korea. But These convenient Smart-phon may lead us astray.
One of the big worries is that although 'interactions' have increased, 'conversations' have

decreased. As it became so handy to use SNS Smart-phon technology, many people are obsessed with the new forms of communication. That is why some people have become maniacs. Smart-phon users are busy submersing themselves cyber space instead of participating in the real world. That he got new net-friends through SNS does not mean that he saw his or her friends face ti face. Is writing articles and getting some replies desirable form of communication?
Verbal language is said to represent only seven percent of the entire human communication process. The remaining 93 percent, which is believed to expose true feelings, is nonverbal communication; which consists of tone of voice facial expression, muscles, movement, and physiology. It's important to recognize these forms of nonverbal language. As Smart-phon users are getting younger, it's becoming more and more rare to be exposed to nonverbal aspects of communication. That worries me.
From my perspective, smart-phon are like huge walls. Genuine communication should go hand in hand with smart-phon technology. Otherwise, smart-phons do more harm than good.
