<Cracker Your Wardrobe> is the first street fashion magazine if its kind in Korea. It contains many interesting pictures and stories about fashion around the world. Unlike other fashion magazines, <Cracker> always pursues its own style by covering unque and creative content. Today, <Cracker>has the full support of its large circle of readers, mostly teenagers and young people who are keen on fashion. I met editor-in-chief, jang Seok-jong. Here are more details.

Keep Challenging Yourself
Since I was a student, I have been reading fashion magazines. My dream was to work in the fashion world. So, I entered Hanyang University and majored in clothing and textiles. When I first entered the university, I was a little disappointed because it was hard to find friends. I tried to get along with many people in the fashion world by being involved in many activities. When I was a sophomore, one of my uppuerclassman recommended me to do fashion promotions agency. I worked there while attending university. Later, I tried to manage an online fashion shopping mall with my friends. I also worked as a theatrical costume freelancer.
After bing discharged from the army, I become restless and decided to do something that I really wanted to do. I launched a street fashion magazine. Soon, <Cracker Your Wardrobe> was born.

Birth of <Cracker Your Wardrobe>
My and three close friends gathered in a basement with only one hundred thousand won to publish the first issue of <Cracker your Wardrobe>. Due to our lack of money, our goal was not so easy. Being students, we had difficulty securing investors. A magazine business needs plenty human resources. The cost of labor is so expensive, As such, it was very hard to publish the magazine continuously on a limited budget. But despite the worst of situations, I never gave up. We published our magazine for two years, even when lived in a basement and tell into debt.
Once we kicked off our business, things have improved gradually. We have two departments-the Publication department and the Advertising department. Profits in Advertising are used for publishing the magazine. So, now you can purchase <Craker> at a low price.

Unique and Creative Style
Unlike other fashion magazines, <Cracker> focused on Street Fashion. <Cracker> always seeks real sharp dresser. Naturally, we do not follow other magazines. So <Craker> has its own unique and creative style. We are different from other magazines.

Various Episodes of Cracker
Now, 16 employes are working for our company. We take pictures when we find a sharp dresser. I usually take pictures in Sin-sa dong, Myeong-dong, Hongdae, and so on. We also get pictures from about 20 countries through friends living abroad. Many readers often tell me that we take pictures of unusual people who are interested in styling and know their own style. When it comes to my own style, as I am get older, I stick to my routine. Unlike before, 1 had strategies in style.
The happiest moment in <Craker> history was the day I received my first revenue. I bought a motorcycle with that money. It was an unforgettable moment when I arrived at my company via my motorcycle.

Challenges Ahead
I am afraid and I feel uncomfortable as I grow older, I am burdened by the duty I have to lead young people as an editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine. I am always trying to be creative. To release tension, I enjoy collecting toys.
I am not a defeatist. I am a sort of person who keeps rising to challenges. I think my duty is just help staff members to do their work well. Sometimes, it's very hard for me. I try very hard to stay cool when I am exhausted. I'm so happy now and enjoying my work because staff members do their best. I will never stop meeting challenges.

Beyond the Seas
First of all, I aim to spread <Cracker> is already in Japan. This is a good start. Now, we are trying

very hard to extend our business further. I also want to manage our own shop and sell many products. Another dream is to publish books many fashion. I can't relax until my dream is realized.

My Advice
Sadly, many students live for others. Just do what you want to do. Passion and confidence are also important. Do not be afraid. Just live your life for you, and follow your own intuition.
