I really feel honored to share my experiences on South Korea. Studying abroad in Korea was the best thing I have done in my life. It was a life-changing experience. Korea is known as the "Land of the Morning Calm." The population of the Korean Peninsula, sharing a common language, ethnic identity, and culture, is one of the world's most homogeneous.
First day in university is always a memorable one, No matter how times we hear that college spans "the best years of our lives, "those few months before it starts are tense with uncertainty, and understandingly. College life is different and unique for everyone. Living on campus at CNU gives you many opportunities to meet locals. The international division staff has several field trips to different places in Korea. The trips are usually cheap and many international students participate. I world recommend attending some of the very early events in order to get to know other international students. The language program is great. We had class twice a week for two house and I was surprised that in less than three months, I was able to keep a conversation with my Korean friends.
Modern experimental facilities and huge library resource create an excellent working environment for researches. "One loyal friend is worth ten thousand relatives." "My friends are my estate." I truly believe in these quotes as my Korean friends helped me in each and every little things." Creativity, as has been said, consists largely of rearrnaging what we know in order to find out what we do not know." We can see more creativity and arts at CNU. Scientific research comprises of a wide variety of fields ranging from the study of different branches of science to relatively advanced fields like space exploration, human genetics and cloning. As scientific research aims ar gaining knowledge of the complexities of nature, it is important for the progress of mankind. The seemingly impossible fears have been made possible, thanks to the scientific research at CNU.
When most people think of Korean fond, they think of kimchi, Koreans' staple side dish which, along with rice, accompanies almost every meal. Although it is an acquired taste, many long-term foreigners also fine themselves missing the flavor of kimchi, if they have too many meals without it.
Korea has four distinct seasons, which makes k convenient for many people, in Fall, hiking trips are the best because the weather is cooler and the leaves begin to change colors making the landscape beautiful. Fall is the shortest season in Korea. In Winter it snows, and many ski resorts open up. in spring the weather begins to warm up again, which enables you to travel to any place you wish. Late spring is the time when campsites and beaches begin to open. Summer in not only hot but also humid and it rains a lot.
Traveling throughout South Korea can be cheap or expensive, depending on where you want to go. There are trains and express busses that can take you just about anywhere. By the time you are done with the first semester in CNU, you will be able to travel by yourself and go anywhere you wish.
