<Interview with Vice President for General Financial Affairs>

★ What do you think about increasing the tuition fees or freezing the tuition fees?
    - The problem of tuition fees is like two sides of the same coin. As a national university we receive financial support from the government so we have to follow government policy. Since exorbitant tuition fees should not be allowed for students' sake, there has to he an agreement between the students and the school authorities before raising tuition fees.

★ Why do you think so?
    - Although the school is funded by the government, the actual amount of the government's support is different from year to year so it is hard to keep within budget, therefore, the budget is often insufficient. Also, because of the large number of students, the students feel that the amount education they receive from the school is not in proportion the amount they pay. As a school authority, we should give students more chance to have privileges.

<Interview with the President of Student Council>

★ What do you think about increasing the tuition fees or freezing the tuition fees?
    - The tuition fees needs to be lowered, instead of freezing or raising it. Even though the tuition is raised, how it is used is not opened to the public. Student cannot feel the change and it is hard for students to understand the plan of the year for the school. After the annual account from each year, we can find that some of the budget is lett over. Therefore, school fees should be reduced to lighten CNU students' financial burden.

★ Why do you think so?
    - People expect that the tuition fee will increase. Although they have enough funds, the university is planning to bubble the budget which will lead them to feel that they do not have enough financially enough. The university authorities should take care students' financial so that they can concentrate more on studying.

<Students' Opinion>

    ★ I agree with tuition increase on the condition that the school requires it. However, before they raise die fees, the school muse report the university's budget to the public.

    ★ Many students find themselves in financial difficulties because of the exorbitant tuition, so the tuition should be lowered.

    ★ School fees should be frozen. Many students want it frozen and an increase of financial burden is unavoidable when the registration fee increases because there are many students who do not receive financial assistance from their parents.

    ★ I do not agree with raising the fees. I do not think that there arc any visible or tangible change, that students can feel after a fix increase- Also, there are certain limits to the promotion of educational service through tuition.

    ★ The registration fee should be frozen. A rise in prices cannot be a reason for a tuition hike. In the long run the educational support is an investment by the government for the future. Therefore, as a national university, is a school that should nor impose a heavy financial burden un students.
