Comedy Popping out of the Idiot Box
The Harmony of Audiences & Actors
As soon as you walk in the theater you can see a big screen in front of the stage. On that screen, they type some interesting things about the audience while you wait. Before it beings the guide of the play comes and gives some instruction. When Act I stars, the play's director comes out and asks a member of the audience this question, "What part do you want to play?" The audience member who is asked this question has to answer hat want to go. Anything can be fine in this play. You can be a famous Hollywood star, a dance group member, a painter, or a reporter. The director also picks the main characters of this play from among the audience. After sharing the roles, the director brings all the audience members who have a role and ask them to act out something. At first, they are shy and do not know what to do. However, a person who has the role of a dance group member will start gesturing like an idol and dance on the stage. Then, all the funny things they do. Then the director leaves and other actors come out to watch. Then Act I is over. There are many small one-act plays in You Are the Hero and each of them has a different concept. One of th most interesting parts is the improvising of lines by the actors. The actors speak their lines which are written by the audience and they make a story line out of them. In this play, there is no separation between actors and the audience. The audience and be actors and actors can be in the audience. Most of the scenes are made by the audience and the actors together. It really does require cooperation between the audience and the actors.
