Brian McKnight - Back at one

I bought Brian McKnight's 2nd album, Back at one, with great expectations, and it didn't disappoint me. On this album, he tried to show a mix of smooth tones, slow grooves, heavy ballads and contemporary jazz-flavored R&B. When I heard it first time, I could not express enough about the talent of this artist. Brian McKnight has indescribable talent, and it made me listen to his songs for hours and hours. His voice is so sweet and it is very soothing. Whenever I listen to his voice, I feel at ease inside my heart. Especially, the song Back at one is familiar to Korean's taste of music. So if you listen to this song, you will hum the chorus of song. Many Korean artists did remake this song. Also this song's lyrics strike a chord in the hearts of listeners. I like this song which has same title of album and there are many good other songs in this album.
First, Last dance is an awesome start of this album. This song is extremely nice. I think the order of tracks goes along perfectly with the mood of this album. Second, Cherish is a really relaxing song. The most pleasing part for me is when he goes "la la la la la." Third. Home from the movie Stuart Little is a beautiful ballad that you will continuously repeat as well. I also love the synthesizer effect on this song. Lastly, 6.8.12 is the most surprising song in this album and it is one of the best songs. It has classic mode all over it. You cannot get any better with the soulful humming in the background of sound. The tune of this song is very nice. This is definitely one of my best soul songs ever.
Generally, Back at one will not to be missed by R&B fans. All the songs are listenable and have hit written all over. My grade for Back at One is an A+.
