☆ Korean Economy
Because I am a student of business economy, the Cover Story about Korea's economic problems attracted my attention at first glance.
I often read newspaper articles about the economy when I am not in class, but what I am used to reading are more like short summaries. This Cover Story about serious social problems such as the economic gap gave me a chance to consider the Korean situation.
I read the Cover Story interview, especially, with much interest. With the interview of a professor, this was not just a university magazine! It seemed like a special magazine. I had heard about "Black September" before. In my opinion, "Black September" hasn't ended yet. It's a serious problem.
However, I think the interview was very hopeful about it.
Even though it is a very cute-sized magazine, the story was not that light. I think I'll be a CP lover from now on!

☆ Being Myself
I'm not exactly a person who hates piano concerts, but I don't like them too much. I thought that piano concerts, classical concerts and things related to art are difficult and boring. Art feels so far from our lives. When I read the Review, which mentioned how everybody hummed along while several songs were played, I was surprised. I thought art was supposed to be so difficult that nobody can sing along with the artists and that the audience at a piano concert shouldn't do that. Absolutely, this was not the kind of piano concert that I had imagined before. Because of this, I want to go to this concert.
Above all, I loved what Yeon Hyo-gan said. Often, people dream about being someone who they or others respect. For example, people who like kim Yu-na want their children to be figure skates and people who respect Park Tae-hwan teach their children swimming. They just want to imitate others who are in the spotlight. Because I also tried to be like others, the advice was perfectly suited for me and the idea of being a pioneer really moved me.

☆ For a Variety of creative Ideas
While you read the article, you might have wondered - why didn't we know about this kind of good organization before? Also, you may think that it would be good for CNU to start co-operatives for students, because the money that we pay for stuff will be reinvested for us by co-operatives, and we can buy better quality meals, coffee, goods and other things. Regarding these facts, we could profit from co-operatives in some ways. On the one side of the issue, joining co-operatives is really good and I think it's necessary for us.
However, there are some problems which this article didn't mention. For example, from a small coffee machine to a cafeteria, a book store and so on, everything has to be managed by co-operatives. Even though these services are small in scale, they need professional managers to manage them. Not only do they benefit the managers with a share of the profits, but some of the profits must also be paid to the employees. Furthermore, there may be some problems with the quality of services as prices get lower. Also, distribution of profits to the community should be fair and used responsibly. This article suggests an idea possibility to us, just like a university is an ideal place for its members, with "us" being stronger than "I." Yes, everyone wants that.
However, I think that the practical management and the running of things must be arranged by the members and hired managers before pursuing those ideals. I hope that many students take an interest in solving this problem so that a variety of creative ideas can be suggested and pursued.
