1. A lot of Chungnam National University students do not know about consumer's cooperation in Chungnam National University. Please introduce the consumer's cooperation.  
      Consumer's cooperation in Chungnam National University is kind of organization to promote university members' welfare and healthy consumption through educational affairs meeting since 1979. Members ofconsumer's cooperation in Chungnam National University are school personnel and students.

2. P1ease explain the bidding process of vendors in campus.
      The process of selecting a vendor in national university is dictated by the National Property Act. The selection of vendor is determined by tender price system, the company that suggests the highest price is selected as the vendor because it is concerned with using state property. The procedure goes along fairly. The companies participating in a tender do not know who suggests what so that it is an impartial situation. In selection examination, three student representatives give student's opinions.

3. Recent1y. the Kyobo bookstore was moved into Student Hall 1. In case of Yonsei University, strong opposition from students who worried about commercial potential made the Kyobo bookstore cancel their location. What is the details about the Kyobo bookslore in Chungnam National University? 
      The bookstore before Kyobo bookstore was an extremely run-down facility. Therefore, we wanted bookstore that can provide a high-quality service and clean lounge for students. We established a standard based on these conditions. The Kyobo bookstore promised us these things, so we permitted the location.

4. The students have the right to know about school affairs as school owners. However, the location of Pan dorothy and the Kyobo bookstore in Chungnam National University was not announced before they entered. What do you think about that? 
      The process of entering vendor in university is put into action by a line of authorization starred from university's president. Although three student representatives participate in this process, these kinds of facts are nut noticed to students. An announcement about a vendor being located on campus will not be announced to the students for several reasons.

5. Is there any plan to have coffee shop or school cafeteria directly operated by external companies now? 
      At the first, we had a plan to run a coffee shop, but we had no experience in operating a coffee shop. We are planning to change the current system to direct management, but it has not been decided yet.

6. Do you have spedal plans for additional vendors in Chungnam National University? 
      The contract with Narae F.D.S. located in Student Hall 1 expires soon. The cafeteria in Student Hall 1 is in the red because few students use this cafeteria. There are some difficulties in running cafeteria directly. Therefore we gave public notice of a bid twice times, but no one has bid on it yet. To solve shortage problem, we are considering changing our system to a food court.

7. One last thing, could you say something to Chungnam National University students?  
      The consumer's cooperation in Chungnal National University will not promote unhealthy consumerism. We are trying to put student's welfare and benefit first. We hope you will understand this point.
