These days, there are loud reports being heard around the world due to the international financial crisis. Wherever we are, we see and hear about the 'hard period' through newspaper, TV news and conversation etc. Many students who graduate from university become unemployed people. The unemployment rate is increasing dramatically. Only a gloomy view of the future is being reported. Here I want to introduce a book which gives us hope.

The book, Miracle is in you, is the story about Lee Seung-bok, who immigrated to America at the age of eight. He is a special doctor in a rehabilitation medicine course at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He makes his rounds within the hospital in a wheelchair. He is a quadriplegia. He had a dream to be a gymnast when he was young. The dream continued during his difficult time as an emigrant. But he hurt his waist whilst somersaulting and became a quadriplegia. So he couldn't compete in gymnastics again. However, he didn't simply resent his ill-fate. He found his new way, through rehabilitation and the course of rehabilitative medicine. Finally he entered famous Dartmouth University medical course and graduated first from the Harvard University medical intern system. Of course, many people had thought that it would be impossible for him to achieve the goal. But he did it. And finally he became a rehabilitation medical chief doctor of Johns Hopkins hospital. Lee Seung-bok, who is in a wheelchair in hospital, is the symbol of hope to patients.

Lee Seung-bok gave us truth, courage, and hope. He converted the unfortunate situation into a hopeful life. The recommendation that I desire to give to the youth, especially Chungdaites, is that you shouldn't lose hope, and make your way forward during this hard time.
