Recently, the law concerning game addiction that is under consideration is being sharply debated. The law groups online games with gambling, drugs, and alcohol as an anti-social issue in order to prevent increased problems with game addiction.
I think this law must be passed for various reasons. First, there are many people who cannot distinguish between imagination and reality; they plunge too deeply into virtual worlds. In the long term, severe social issues are caused by addiction. For example, in 2010, there was a woman who was addicted to online games had a newborn baby. She left her baby at home, not taking care of her baby for a long time. Finally, her baby died from starvation.
Second, game addiction makes unreasonable demands on people`s free time, when we can enjoy activities such as sports and music. Especially, it can have a bad influence on children and teens since
they need exercise and culture for a healthy life and growth. Moreover, a lack of social skills and violence caused by game addiction provokes some problems like bullying when they are in schools.
In conclusion, I think that the law should be passed because game addiction has a bad influence on less discerning people, growing children and teens. Therefore I believe that the law can solve some problems in our society and improve the quality of life by encouraging cultural exercises instead of online games.

The Law Is Needed to Prevent Negative Phenomena.

Many people really like to play games. I remember that when I was a middle school student, I also played lots of computer games with my friends at an internet cafe. However, I realized that playing computer games made me an aggressive person. As soon as I stopped playing games, I could concentrate on many things such as my relationship with my friends, studying, and being healthy. Nowadays, it is possible to hear the news about the problems of computer games. Owing to those issues, the Korean government has tried to establish a “game addiction law.” To be honest, I agree with this regulation. There are some good reasons to support my opinion.
First of all, this law will help to stop some forms of crime. According to recent research in psychology, excessive game addiction will affect many people by changing their personality and increasing aggression. If a person became violent, he or she could be confused about whether the situation is real or not. There was a student who killed his mother over the pocket money to play games. As a result, he was crazy about games, and he became a cruel murderer. It is a starting point for delinquency. Hence, the law will prevent crimes.
Second, the law will have positive effects on the health of people. I have read some articles from the internet about the terrible consequences of excessive games. As people play the game more, they will suffer from illness such as stomachaches, headaches, and insomnia. One guy played the computer game for 5 days without resting; consequently, he died. We know that game addiction makes humans to have some kinds of health problems and even leads to death. Thus, I think the law is necessary for those people.
I understand that nobody can control the person who wants to play computer games. However, I hope that people will recognize the good effects of the law and think about themselves more carefully. Overall, I believe game addiction law must be enacted.
