Nine students from the Department of Clothing & Textiles had their graduation exhibition at Hong Kong Polytechnics. Thus, CP met two of them, Lee Chae-hun and Park Su-jin

1. How did you come to exhibit your products in Hong Kong?
Lee and Park: While we prepared for graduation, we chose the exhibition among preconditions for graduation of the university TOEIC, paper, contest and exhibition because it is the best way to showcase our major. Luckily, one of our seniors had worked at Hong Kong Polytechnics and we could exhibit at other country’s university.

2. What was the most difficult part and what was the best part of the whole exhibition?
Lee: The most difficult part was the short preparatory period. We had to finish the entire production within three months because of our tight schedule. We felt oppressive. The best part was that it was a good chance to rethink my products and my sense of values.
Park: It was to continue doing small things. I wanted to express my work in detail, so I fixed it again and again. It was hard and tiring. The best thing is a good evaluation. A detail on which I put a great care could receive applause from the professor and other students.

3. How did you feel after the exhibition ended?
Lee and Park: It was a very meaningful and valuable memory. We could know about ourselves better than before and appreciate our own products more objectively.

4. What is your dream?
Lee: I want to be a good designer. Moreover, I want to make a more positive environment that we can wear a dress or beautiful suit more frequently.
Park: I want to be a famous designer, too. Besides, I want to design high fashion that can be worn in daily life, and then high fashion will be popularized.

5. To younger men
A challenge is the best way to show your major certainly before graduation. Don’t be afraid to do it! Be proud of yourself and your future.
