One evening, at the local tea shop, I met a man with a hearty laugh. His name is Julian. During our conversation, he was excited to tell me about the various way in which he was enjoying Korean culture and lifestyle. Interviewing him I became aware of culture differences and came away understanding him and Germany better than I did before. Come along and enjoy Julian’s conversation.

I am 26 years old. I study physics at CNU. I like Taekwondo so much. Am I Korean? No~ I am from Germany.

Guess!
Germany is located in the middle of Europe. Germany is a global player outfitted with outstanding personnel and technology. The people move slower than Koreans, so you can establish deep friendships for a long time. Are there great places unique to Germany? There is a very famous football stadium in Dortmund; you should visit even if you are not a football fan because the atmosphere is amazing.

TU(Technische Universitat)
Dortmund is similar to CNU. We have one campus that houses various colleges. The primary subjects of our university are Engineering and Sciences. Our education system is as good as any other in Germany. Do you know I am one of the ambassadors in TU Dortmund? If you go to Germany, contact me. I’ll welcome you.

Listen! How Was It?

Campus Life in Germany

We have a lot of festivals on campus especially in the summer. In our dormitories, every student has their own room so you can bring over friends and watch movies. So we do not go out so often. It is different from Korean students who meet their friends outside most of the time.
When I first came to Korea, I was surprised at the relationship between juniors and seniors. In comparison, German students are equal and there is no difference in treatment based on age.
In addition, the system in Germany is more liberal. You don’t have to attend lectures. If you want to learn at home, that is ok.

Arrive into Korea
I enjoy life here. I’ve met a lot of friends, and I am getting used to living here. It is very fun to go out with friends and to learn the Korean language. I want to get more basics in the language, so I don’t forget when I go back to my homeland.

In addition, I know Korea is a separated nation as Germany once was. I am confident this situation will be corrected-just as the German situation was corrected.

Attention All! Listen to My word

Comment for Students of CNU

All the students here study very hard and I think that is good. However you should study what you want. I know there is high pressure from society, as well as parents, but try to find your own way. Please come to Germany and visit TU Dortmund. Haha! Anyway, thank you for the good time at CNU.
